SOMA is coming to PS4. That's pretty cool.

SOMA is the next thing from Frictional Games - that's the only reason this is important.  Frictional Games are a horror studio.  That's all they do, between the Penumbra series, the critically acclaimed Amnesia: The Dark Descent and the less-stellar Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs.

Frictional's released some pretty cool teasers for SOMA over the past few weeks, prior to the above gameplay video dropping.  Most-interesting is certainly this one, titled 'Mockingbird,' which really gives you a sense of where they're going in SOMA.

Between SOMADaylight and Outlast, a lot of interesting indie first-person horror is coming to the PlayStation 4.  Kinda' reminds me of the slight surge we saw at the beginning of the current gen, with Condemned and Siren: Blood Curse.

In other news, I'm still desperately resisting the call of Grand Theft Auto Online in order to put time into Beyond: Two Souls, which I really just kinda' want to be over.  So I can keep playing GTA Online.

It's not that Beyond is bad, it's just not... quite what it wants to be.  Assuming, of course, that it's not trying to be boring - 'cause if that's what it's shooting for, it's actually does a pretty decent job of it, half the time.
