It's been a long while since we heard anything about Rocketbirds 2: Evolution. Rocketbirds was a just-okay but generally entertaining 2D cold-war platforming shooter / jetpack-packin' war chicken simulator, with a lot of style but little substance.
Reading this re-introduction post over on the PlayStation blog sounds like a lot of the criticisms leveled at that game have been addressed, with far deeper combat mechanics and a metric fuckton of content - while keeping its endearing, ridiculous style and the fantastic musical stylings of New World Revolution, whose garage-y, ultracool sound lent the last game a heavy dose of charisma and cool.
Also, crossbuy on PS4/Vita! Might wanna' give it a read.
No trailer, but we got a few screens. The devs promise more information "in the very near future," so fingers crossed for a spring indie event release!
