Overwatch Match Highlights 13 - Dignity (Lijiang Tracer)
This is a match I've been sitting on for a while. It was originally a fifteen minute magnum opus with a different WeAreCastor song for each of the three rounds, the cuts only coming during a respawn or when there was a prolonged wait between the reds showing up to get shot. But I'm getting to the point where I need to sweep out my capture archive again, and I wasn't prepared to lose this match so, instead of a fifteen minute Peter Jackson epic, I decided to match it up to one of my favorite Heavy songs, which is also one of their shortest.
The result is a short vid that's mostly about how joyous it feels when you get the pick on a very slippery Mercy, with beats of nice picks throughout. There are a lot of very prolonged duels and really nice kill streaks that you won't see, because the song's so short. Despite 8 deaths, this is one of my best Tracer games ever. Wish I'd made a better video of it, but here we are. Enjoy!
0:57 - 1:02 : I actually get a lot of value out of Pulse Bomb this match. It's pretty easy to smack one on to a sniper, so here's a little kiss for you, Widow.
1:20 - 1:27 : I don't like spawn camping as a rule, and as a somewhat-firm rule, I won't do it to any one player more than once per match. Cailee__ was so damned slippery, though, I'll definitely take the opportunity to pick her when she doesn't have an ally to fly to.
1:56 - 2:00 : Remember the Widow I stuck the pulse bomb to? She switched to Hanzo in round 2. Hanzo is just as easy to stick when he's aiming as Widow is.
2:08 - 2:20 : Before the third point is taken, I get in a duel with the red Widow (a different one). She drops her venom mine to dissuade me as she goes for the small health pack, but it doesn't dissuade me. It's exactly what I want, because without being damaged by her mine, I wouldn't be able to swoop in and deny her that health pack, guaranteeing myself the pick.
