After lamenting the lack of (what I would consider to be) a proper soundtrack featuring the Soul classics of Hidden Figures last night, I went ahead and checked out the album that I'd found on YouTube that included Mighty Good Lovin' by Smokey Robinson and the Miracles. Motor City Soul (2017) is a four-plus hour, 100-track collection of a bunch of The Good Shit from the years of the birth of Soul.
I couldn't buy the CD off Amazon.ca. I can't buy MP3s through Amazon.com, so I went with Google Play Music.
The whole fucking thing was $6.50. Canadian.
It was so easy. So convenient. A dangerous and slippery slope, ah do declayah. But oh my God...
If you listen to any song in this post, make it this one:
the good stuff.
