We shan't discuss last night's games on Blizzard World. Getting a handle on new maps is, as always, a painful education. I only played three games, 'cause I was frankly more hyped about completing a new clip show.
Since beginning The Great Tracer One-Trick In Competitive Experiment, I haven't posted any footage of the successes I've been having. I was regaling the boys on the podcast with a description of one of the PotGs - the third-last in the vid, the Pulse Bomb triple + Hog + Mercy + McCree on Oasis - and Chamberlain said he required video evidence of what were obviously blatant lies. Well... I think I've finished the vid.
...and I think I'm pretty happy with it. I hope you can dig it ^.^
I was rifling through my music library for like a week and a half, prior to settling on Comics. I had a list of things I didn't want - I absolutely didn't want to use an oldie, or a blues song. I didn't want to use a song from The Heavy or Black Rebel Motorcycle Club or Saint Motel - I've used too many, lately, and I wanted something... modern-feeling.
I've wanted to use Comics since... the first time I heard Comics and became obsessed with it, but I honestly never gave it much of a chance for a full vid. I used it for little Mercy bits, here and there, but the idea of making a whole clip show out of it seemed a bit ambitious. Its energy gets really high at around the thirty second mark, and it just keeps building after that, getting crazier and crazier and I didn't anticipate ever having enough footage at one time to actually make it work. I think this works.
Oh, if you're wondering what parts of the vid are from that 57 and 2 match I've been flipping out over, there's a thirty-second stretch from 1:27 - 1:50.
