Worth Reading - Assassin's Creed's female problems.

Ubisoft - the single largest development house in the world, with thousands of folks working in its Montreal office, have been taken to task for suggesting that having a female assassin or two in its co-op game would be too expensive and labor-intensive for the famously populous developer.
"It was a question of focus and a question of production. Yes, we have tonnes of resources, but we're putting them into this game, and we have huge teams, nine studios working on this game and we need all of these people to make what we are doing here."
-Ubisoft technical director James Therien-
They're full of shit, obviously, and GameIndustry.biz collected some opinions and insight from across the 'net to share.

For the record, if one of those four assassins were a girl, that's the one I'd play as.
