To be brief, The Order: 1886 is excellent. Its third-person shooting is fun, comfortable, vicious and satisfying. Its weapons are wisely-designed, its melee combat is (simple, but) brutal, its werewolf encounters are thrilling, its cast is fully-developed, its world is rich, its story is character-driven, its writing is pretty tight, its plot is gripping, its art direction is droolworthy, its quicktime events are better-planned and implemented than any I could name and its representation of women and sex is a yardstick the entire industry could take a lesson from. Oh, and it's incredibly good-looking. Like really, really ridiculously good-looking.
